how can I become a model?
First step is we need to see some photos of you. They don’t have to be professional
shots, just a snapshot or Polaroid. You could get a friend or family member
to take it for you, we just need one clear face shot and one clear body
shot. As we want to see the natural you, little or no make up is better.
Please do not send any nude photographs. You may send a composite card along
with your snapshots if you have one but please don’t send your portfolio.
Colour photography is preferred.
how do I get them to the agency?
DMM would prefer you to send us your photos via post. You can send all submissions
to PO Box 1193, Broadbeach, Q, 4218. Please clearly indicate the model division
you are sending for- Professional Women & Men, New Faces(13-19 years), Kids(0-12).
You can also email your pics to submissions@divisionmodelmanagement.com.au.
Please include your full name, measurements(height, weight, bust, chest,
waist, hips, hair colour, eye colour, shoe), age, contact numbers and address.
will my photos be returned and when should I expect a response?
We are unable to return your photos to you unless you include a stamped,
self addressed envelope. If DMM is interested in your submission we will
contact you to arrange an interview.
what are the requirements to be a model and what type of models do you
represent?
There are all different types of professional models at DMM. We manage many
different ages, sizes and ethnicity but there are limits for each category.
The height requirements for females 13 and over is 5’8” (173cm) and males
16 and over is 5’11” (180cm). Our commercial and lifestyle division represents
male and females over 30. There is also our Kids Division 0-12 years old.
what if DMM doesn’t accept me?
Don’t give up!! As we are a small and elite agency, we are limited to how
many models we can accept at one time. Your look or type may not be what
we need at this particular time. We encourage you to resubmit new photos
after six months. If you are serious about becoming a model, with hard work
and persistence you will find your place. Good luck, work hard, be patient
and professional, listen to advice and be confident!
